STRIVE'S History

Strive was started by Raisah Ila Panda in 2018. Strive's first development project was initiated by Raisah for the children of Ambedkar Basti by holding football training sessions 3 times a week. As a 10 year old, Raemana watched her older sister set up Strive. She was an enthusiastic assistant who went with her often to the training’s, took videos and photos to record this journey and even assisted in setting up this webpage in 2018 since she was a student in an app and website making class.

In fact, Raemana was the first person to donate to this cause with Rs 1000 saved from her birthday gifts. Thus it is no surprise she decided to take the place and shoulder the responsibility now that Raisah is pursuing her undergraduate degree outside Delhi.

Strive along with football training imparts life & social skills to the basti children.Strive2.0 has infused more energy and team-spirit to the “play & learn” platform, by encouraging the special/differently abled kids to join-in.

After our new CEO (Chief Enthusiastic Officer) has taken over she has now decided to diversify the social development journey in the basti by promoting a full-fledged capacity building program which shall benefit the basti women as a feasible option for livelihood. When asked, Raemana says My project ‘VRDDHI’ aspires to “teach a man how to fish instead of feeding him fish for a day” .
